We thought we'd update you all on the current situation with the Corona-virus and what Washington Running Club are planning.
Following the latest update from the government, we've made the difficult but sensible decision to pause our club runs for the foreseeable future. We'll continue to reassess the situation and keep you all updated with any further decisions we make.
If runners feel they need to organise smaller runs, please be sensible and do so at your own discretion and feel free to use the closed group in doing so. We’d highly recommend that anybody who might be displaying any cold/flu symptoms avoids running and follows the advice being given by the government to self isolate.
We’ll still remain active on social media and available for assistance if you may need it. We suggest runners stay in touch and look out for each other.
Let's all stay safe and healthy
Couch 2 5k CANCELLED
It is with regret that we have no option but to cancel our 2020 C25k, following advice from England Athletics regarding the COVID-19 virus outbreak.
Possibly we may run the 9 week programme later in the year, however I am not in a position to even suggest a date.
We will begin refunding your entrance fees over the next few days.
I thank you for taking an interest in our C25k, hope you can join us at a later date.
Easter Fun Run CANCELLED
In light of the latest England Athletics advice regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, we have taken the decision to cancel our Easter Fun Run.
We hope to host a Charity Fun Run later on in the year in support of the Bloom Project, however we cannot commit to a date at present.
