Come Run With Us! Come Run With Us! Washington Running Club is launching a new Beginners Group at 9am on Sunday 9th of January, meeting at Columbia Grange School! This group is ideal for anyone who can just about run 3 miles without stopping, is over 16 years of age, and wishes to run with people of the same ability on a social level. All sessions will be at a nice easy pace and no one gets left behind. On Thursdays at 7pm we train as a group for 1 hour following a training plan and every Sunday at 9am

We don’t normally like posting negative material to the public, but unfortunately events at our training session last night can’t go without mention. Washington Running Club has had an association with Biddick Academy since 2015 with our Juniors section using the sports hall during the winter months and the main club using the car park as a meeting point for our sessions. Recently Biddick signalled that the formal arrangement would need to stop with the car park being locked at weekends and so would be unavailable for our use. However it was stated that the car park would remain open

London Marathon 2021 **** London Marathon 2021 **** This year the club was lucky enough to qualify for 2 free entries to the 2021 London Marathon. Any members who had entered and received a rejection email were invited to enter a club ballot. There were 7 entries in total and our lucky winners are husband and wife Steve and Jo Mitchinson!
